James studies how the biopolymers that can be found in our bodies keep life in motion.  He has worked on the mechanics of the cytoskeleton in mammalian cells and is currently looking at the physics of chromatin organisation in C. elegans zygotes.  If James is not in the lab, he’s probably on a mountain somewhere or reading a book.
